Scrutiny

The Scrutiny module provides a simple point and click mechanism to enable members or officers to request the Call-in of items. The system monitors the rules for call in and when the required number and sort of users have made the request the item will be sent automatically to the nominated scrutiny body or committee for scheduling on its agenda.

The system can record who called in the item, when the item was called in, to which committee it was called and the reasons for the call in. Any comments made by scrutiny are not only recorded against the item on the scrutiny committee minutes but are also linked automatically to the original item that was called in and to any Action notifications resulting from that item.

The Scrutiny module also enables the Call in of delegated decisions. Scrutiny Agendas can also of course also contain Items that have been sent direct to Scrutiny in addition to those called in from other Committees.
