Forward Plan

The Forward Plan module enables users to enter key decisions into E-GENDA for display in the Forward Plan.

These key decisions can be validated by the officer responsible for the Forward Plan. The draft forward plan may then be edited as more information about each decision becomes known and when required may be published. The published Forward Plan, containing information about key decisions to be made during the next four months, can be viewed by a much wider audience. Special Print programs can also print the Forward Plan in the Council’s required style.

At any time, a key decision may be progressed either as an agenda item or as a delegated decision. The Forward Plan indicates the status of this progress and links to the relevant agenda, decision, etc. If decision dates are deferred, the new decision date and reason for deferral may be kept.

Comments may be made by the public viewing the Forward Plan and sent automatically to the Council. This facility assists in meeting Priority Outcome G3.

The system monitors the Forward Plan and will notify the user responsible for the Forward Plan of key decisions that have been delayed many times or that have decision dates in the past.
